To help expand and nurture our social media presence, IlluZion has brought on Sarah "kahlowave" Lynch!
Before being signed by IlluZion, kahlowave was an active member in the OWL scene; she started off volunteering in 2019 as a Florida Mayhem community leader. She then collaborated with several high-profile streamers such as DramaKingMatt, Jay3, and Samito. She also worked with a few of the top teams in the U.S. like the Houston Outlaws, and Atlanta Reign, helping them to grow their community outreach.
On top of her duties as a community manager, kahlowave was also a student at USF. After hearing about her accomplishments in Overwatch, the university's esports team, USF Esports, hired her as a paid community manager in 2020; and was eventually promoted to Marketing Program Assistant. It was also in 2020 that helped devise a massive crossover event between the Florida Mayhem and the University of South Florida. She helped stage a three week long gaming competition between the two organizations. The event was considered a raving success with USF's name becoming more well-known in the Florida region, as well as recruiting some new members to the group.
In early 2021, kahlowave ceased her volunteering for the Florida Mayhem and began to accept more paid positions in other esports like community managing and marketing. She still volunteers, though, she is currently volunteering at IlluZion and the organization known as Overtime Champions where she is a graphic designer and a tournament manager.
Even though she is new to the IlluZion family, kahlowave has been following us for sometime now, having kept track of our goings-on in the Super Smash Bros community. She even had the chance to meet our cofounder, Mihir “Mak” Khadri, because of his involvement with USF.
When asked about what her thoughts were after joining IlluZion, kahlowave said, "It's a great honor and is already good fun to be able to work here at IlluZion, and I can't wait to move forward in their Community Management efforts and social media campaigns."
